Resources
 There
are some excellent herd health resources
available to alpaca breeders:
alpaca books,
videos, magazines, seminars, workshops, and
associations.
By far the most
important resource, in my opinion, is your seller. Be sure you are buying
alpacas from someone who can provide the support necessary to building a solid
business.
 Is your
seller experienced?
Is your
seller willing to spend time with you, providing information and guidance?
Is your
seller someone you can and want to work with?
A good relationship with your seller will go a long way toward setting a firm
foundation for your business.
Be a good
listener. If you ask for advice, listen to it!
Be
teachable. If you get sound advice, follow it!
Be
responsible. Take hold of your own education and learn, learn, learn!
